"Wonderful and worth it!"
"This is one of the 3 holy places for Burmese and Buddhist pilgrim around the world. The pagoda itself is amazing and make me wonder how they build it in the old day. On the way up to the pagoda is very hectic- clambing up by bus is so rough, I wonder how pilgrim in the old day travel by foot to respect this pagoda, It could take weeks to get up there by walking through the jungle and danger. I think without faith this could not possible. Most of the visitor are local and Buddhist from other country. Though the golden rock pagoda is not spectacular scale like Shwedagon Pagoda nor spiritual essence like Mahamuni Buddha (Mandalay), it is worth a visit. Don t miss sunsire and sunset moment.
